Hi, I'm Jack - I love golf, computing and fast cars ( I have one of the first Vauxhall VX220's (2001), or Opel Roadster, depending where you're from). My heroes are Tony Jacklin and Jeremy Clarkson.

Annette enjoys pottery and glass-making and is currently into making ceramic tortoises and unique vases.
We'll put up some photos as production progresses.

We are going to divide the site into areas of individual and common interest. We hope you'll like it. We will be continually building and improving the site. If you have constructive suggestions for improvement, please comment in the guestbook.

We live in Poole, Dorset (as you may have gathered from the weather feed to the left). The heading picture is of Poole harbour with 'Old Harry' rock towards the right.

Some gallery sections will require registering for you to see the photos - this is easy to do and we will enable access as soon as possible after registration and send you an email. Also if you comment in the blog section, this will not appear immediately - due to current state of the internet, we have to moderate this - comments will appear as soon as we can read and approve.

Visual Studio
I've just been working on Windows Forms version of VSE 2012. It's completely different to VSE for Web or what was once Visual Web Developer. Just trying to get my head round packaging for distribution - normally only had to load up pages to a web server! Looking at doing some software for writers - see what yWriter5 does. I'm trying to do something that will compliment this.

ListView Paging in ASP.Net
I have been using Gridview.PageIndex to select the desired page via a querystring on loading for years but had trouble working out the equivalent for a ListView. Shall I update my iPad?
I notice that Apple are no longer supporting the iPad 1! This is annoying as I've had mine about 2 years and cannot install iOS6. I recently subscribed to iTunes Match and iOS5 does not properly stream cloud music - dohhhhh! I think I like the look of the new Kindle Fire!

iPad rules!
Have recently bought an iPad and think it's pretty amazing! I travel alot and find it invaluable filling in the time watching movies, listening to music and doing the odd bit of work. The best thing about it is the number and quality of applications available and they're so cheap! The worst thing is that (unless you jailbreak) you're tied in so tightly to Apple. I'm gonna consider freeing myself when jailbreak for iOS 4.2 becomes available (more than beta).
